We are so excited to welcome you to the Amalfi Coast for our weddingon September 29th at Villa Eva, Ravello. Perched high above the Amalfi Coast, Ravello is a timeless jewel known for its breathtaking views, lush gardens, and charming historic villas. We chose this magical town for its authentic atmosphere, stunning panoramas, and the unforgettable feeling of Italian “dolce vita.” Below you’ll find helpful information to plan your journey and stay.

Nearest Airports

The most convenient airports to reach Ravello are: - Naples International Airport (NAP) — approximately 37 miles [The closest and most recommended option].<a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/Qa2KVQaXPjZs6rjh7" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Google maps link</a> - Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport (QSR) — approximately 28 miles. How to reach Ravello

- From Naples or Salerno, the easiest way is by private car or transfer.- Alternatively, if you travel from the other part of Italy you may take a train to Salerno or Naples, followed by a taxi or private transfer.- If arriving by ferry to Amalfi, Ravello can be reached by taxi or local bus (approximately 15–20 minutes uphill). Note: It's highly recommended to arrange transportation in advance. Uber doesn't work on Amalfi Coast.

Getting around ravello

Please note that Ravello itself is not car-friendly: -The historic center is mostly pedestrian-only-Parking is limited and located outside the main town-Most hotels, venues, and restaurants are accessible on foot Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended, as there are stairs and scenic paths throughout the town. But if you are going to explore Amalfi Coast during your stay, we highly recommend you to rent a car but in advance get details from your accommodation regarding the parking. Recommended car rentals: Sicily by car, SIXT, HERTZ, AVIS, Europcar

Late September is a wonderful time to explore the Amalfi and Sorrento Coast. While it may already be considered off-season for classic beach vacations, the area remains vibrant and offers an incredible mix of culture, gastronomy, nature, and sightseeing — all with fewer crowds and a more relaxed atmosphere.

Ravello

[where the wedding takes place] Ravello is a peaceful hilltop town known for its stunning views and romantic atmosphere. Enjoy wandering the historic center, visiting Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone - they are open as museums for the visitors, and having an aperitivo overlooking the coastline. Ravello is ideal for relaxing and soaking in the beauty of the area.

Amalfi

(≈ 15 minutes by car or private driver from Ravello) A historic seaside town perfect for sightseeing and relaxing walks along the harbor. Visit the Duomo di Amalfi, browse local shops, and enjoy fresh seafood or lemon-based desserts — Amalfi is famous for its lemons and limoncello.

POSITANO

(≈ 45–60 minutes by car or private driver / ≈ 40 minutes by ferry from Amalfi) One of Italy’s most iconic towns, Positano is known for its colorful cliffside houses, boutique shopping, and scenic cafés. Perfect for lunch with a view and unforgettable photos.

CAPRI

(≈ 1 hour by ferry from Amalfi or Positano) A glamorous island famous for its dramatic landscapes and crystal-clear waters. Visit Anacapri, enjoy panoramic views from Monte Solaro, explore the Blue Grotto (weather permitting), or simply enjoy shopping and lunch by the marina.

Vietri sul mare

(≈ 35 minutes by car or private driver) Renowned for its hand-painted ceramics, Vietri sul Mare is perfect for souvenir shopping and experiencing authentic local craftsmanship and everyday Italian life.

Sorrento

(≈ 1.5 hours by car or private driver / ≈ 1 hour by ferry from Amalfi) Walk through the historic center, visit the Marina Grande, and enjoy panoramic viewpoints overlooking Mount Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. Sorrento is also known for excellent shopping, traditional inlaid wood crafts, and a vibrant dining scene.

Salerno

(≈ 45 minutes by car or private driver) A vibrant coastal city with a beautiful seaside promenade, perfect for a relaxed walk by the sea. Salerno offers great shopping, local cafés, and traditional restaurants where you can enjoy authentic Southern Italian cuisine. It’s also a pleasant place for an aperitivo or dinner, especially in the evening.

(≈ 1.5 hours by car or private driver / ≈ 1–1.5 hours by train from Salerno) A must-visit for food lovers and culture enthusiasts. Naples is the birthplace of pizza and is famous for its incredible street food, historic neighborhoods, and rich artistic heritage. Explore lively streets, visit museums and landmarks, and don’t miss local specialties such as Neapolitan pizza, sfogliatella, and strong Italian espresso.

Pompeii

(≈ 1 hour by car or private driver / ≈ 30–40 minutes by train from Naples) One of Italy’s most famous archaeological sites, Pompeii offers a fascinating glimpse into life during the Roman Empire. Walk through the well-preserved ruins of homes, temples, and streets, and imagine the vibrant city life before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. A guided tour is highly recommended to fully appreciate the history and details of this remarkable site.
